No Bling Bling
I always cringe a little inside when I see other students wearing their jewelry during pole dance class. That includes rings, bracelets and maybe even a pierced belly here and there. As a pole owner, I never wear jewelry while I’m on it it lest I scratch it. I wonder if studios neglect to mention it or if some polers truly don’t realize the damage they can do to property. (Or they can even risk injury to their bodies or damage the jewelry itself I imagine.) Well, I say if you didn’t pay for it, then respect the tools.
As for the pierced bellies, I have a fear of it getting caught in the little holes on a pole. Like, that could technically possibly happen, couldn’t it? ::shudder::
In addition to respecting your studio, some type of jewelry can result in harm to the wearer. Say, a ring can cause for your skin to pinch during a spin and that HURTS, or necklaces can get caught on _something_ and choke you, and you wouldn’t want that when hanging upside dow. now, would you?
Very true!!! I have always wondered if belly rings/studs have ever been stuck in the holes of an X-Pole. It’s one of my greatest fears for a pole dancer. ><
😮 that’s a horrible mental image Leen!! Maybe I’ll leave mine unpierced after all ?

Claire Adams Oh man, I know it is! i can’t help it. It just seems like such a dangerous and avoidable possibility! 🙁
